Generally speaking，translation，according to text types，can be roughly divided into the following types: literary translation，scientific translation，applied translation and oral translation．Applied translation can be further classified into professional translation，practical translation，multimedia translation and others．Professional translation here refers to the translation of a certain field，which roughly contains legal documents，journalism，trades，finance，physical education，medicine，tourism，etc．Practical translation refers to the translation of the fields that are very commonly applied and used in everyday English such as practical writings，street signs，advertisements，trademarks and others．Multimedia translation refers to the translation of such aspects as film and television translation，voice-over and dubbing，and captioning and subtitling，website and internet and so on．
