1．This Law is promulgated with the purpose of regulating insurance activities，protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the parties involved，strengthening supervision and regulation of the insurance industry and promoting its healthy development．

2．The various kinds of taxable payments referred to in the proceeding paragraph include payments in cash，payments by remittance，payments through transfer accounts and payments in marketable securities or in kind，which are rendered into equivalent amount money．

3．The Publisher shall pay the Author in advance，which shall be a charge of all sums to the Author under this Agreement．

4．If the bill of lading contains particulars conce rning the general nature，leading marks，number of p ackages or pieces，weight or quantity of the goods which the carrier or other person issuing the bill of lading on his behalf knows or has reasonable g rounds to suspect do not accurately represent the goods actually taken over or，where a shipped bill of lading issues，loaded，or if he has no reasonable means of checking such particulars，the carrier or such other person must insert in the bill of ladi ng a reservation specifying these inaccuracies，gro unds of suspicion of the absence of reasonable means of checking．

Ⅱ．Passage translation．

PARTⅠSPHERE OF APPLICATION AND GENERAL PROVISIONS CHAPTERⅠSPHERE OF APPLICATION Article 1

(1)This Convention applies to contracts of sale of goods between parties whose places of business are in different States:

(a)when the States are Contracting States; or

(b)when the rules of private international law lead to the application of the law of a Contracting State．

(2)The fact that the parties have their places of business in different States is to be disregarded whenever this fact does not appear either from the contract or from any dealings between，or from information disclosed by，the parties at any time before or at the conclusion of the contract．

(3)Neither the nationality of the parties nor the civil or commercial character of the parties or of the contract is to be taken into consideration in determining the application of this Convention．

This Convention does not apply to sales:

(a)of goods bought for personal，family or household use，unless the seller，at any time before or at the conclusion of the contract，neither knew nor ought to have know that the goods were bought for any such use;

(c)on execution or otherwise by authority of law;

(d)of stocks，shares，investment securities，negotiable instruments or money;
